I've been called a renaissance woman by un ami de Paris. If that means I'm capable of enchantment, of falling in love with lead letters pressed into beautiful papers, or of being mesmorized by lines and colours on surfaces that I'm drawn to reach out and touch, then yes, I'll be that woman.

I'll run with it and make cherry clafoutis in the summer and tarte tatin in the fall, I'll paint under golden plum trees at my new country home, I'll write from my heart believing in honesty, I'll make things I believe in and share them with kindred spirits, I'll cry when it's inappropriate.

I'll be a renaissance man from time to time, and a barn swallow too, just to shake up rigid notions of gender + dualism, I'll lick my hands and smear them on sepia stained paper, I'll keep learning Tibetan and paint calligraphic letters on the bottoms of bare feet, I'll float in the ocean on my back under the stars, I'll drive fire trucks, I'll collect things that break my heart wide open like japanese anemones & old photographs of complete strangers, I'll sip mead with my love and sigh repeatedly. I'll be quiet and listen.

I am an artist and designer based on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada with a B.F.A. from the Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design (Vancouver.) In addition to creating artwork for exhibition or just because, I work with commercial clients to make their work environments more inviting and calming, and private clients to bring beauty and wonder into their homes.
